ABOUT HIGHER PURPOSE LEARNING
Higher Purpose Learning was founded by three siblings; a scholar, a performer, and a socializer. Two years ago, we lost the fourth sibling, our brother Jake (the joker), after a long, tough battle with stage IV colon cancer. While losing a sibling is never an easy experience, his death brought us remaining siblings closer together.
Carly, the youngest and the scholar, has always been a creative soul and an over-achiever (in the best sense of the word). Perhaps it was because she had to overcome the reputation her three older brothers left for her, which was good and bad, depending on how you looked at it. Carly was a competitive dancer from a young age and a well-known choreographer throughout her dance community. She was a member of the University of Notre Dame pom squad and graduated from law school Summa Cum Laude. A year after our brother Jake was diagnosed with colon cancer, Carly was diagnosed with melanoma. Fortunately, her surgery and treatments were successful. She continues to practice law in Michigan and is the design guru behind Higher Purpose Learning.
Joe, the middle child, is a gifted and natural born performer. Ever since he was a young boy, he has been able to play any instrument and any song by ear. After high school, Joe remained in his hometown, where he successfully worked in sales and attended culinary school. Interested in a new environment and life change, Joe moved to Montana to work with his older brother, Mike. Joe eventually met someone in Montana and married, but the marriage did not last. Joe did not take his divorce well and looked for ways to numb his pain. Fortunately, Joe was able to overcome his demons, and found redemption through the Bible and Jesus Christ. He is now an ordained minister and plays music in the Christian Church. Joe is the leader of faithful thought and content for Higher Purpose Learning.
Mike, the oldest and the socializer, left his hometown immediately out of high school to study at a university on the East Coast. From there he moved to Europe, where he finished school, and remained for almost a decade working in the heart of Rome, Italy. Mike has always been a natural organizer, be it events, people, or business. He is a connoisseur of the fine things in life, as his father says. After moving back to the United States, he continued his travels, living across the country. Mike eventually returned to his home state working in sales and management. He is the business director for Higher Purpose Learning.
We came together to create Higher Purpose Learning to offer the public an easy and approachable tool to learning the Bible. We sincerely hope our faith-based products will serve to provide people with a better sense of peace and comfort, regardless of what they are dealing with in their lives.
